TDI Smart City Residents Welfare Association (TDISCRWA) Mohali has been constituted by like minded people with an objective to take up various issues/ problems faced by residents with various civic authorities/ GMADA/PSPCL etc. in 2021.
TDISCRWA from time to time, have taken up serious grievances with
GMADA/DC/SDM etc. but without any satisfactory results. We have also sought information under the RTI and have managed to obtain layout plan/Sewerage Plan/ electricity/ storm lines maps etc.
Today’s meeting has been called since it is felt necessary to gather residents and to prepare agenda for taking up with the higher authorities and for submission of fresh Memorandums on the basis of information obtained under RTIs. Our collective voice will have much impart.
Residents raised their voice and drew attention towards poor drainage system, sewerage system, frequent breakdown of electricity, poor quality of laying of roads and service, lanes, Waste Management, and garbage burning, sewerage sumps, lack of harvesting lines/ pits, Exorbitant maintenance charges, lack of basic amenities, such as community centre, Gurdwara Sahib, Post office, public toilets, Garbage dumping ground and poor maintenance parks.
Residents were strongly of the view that partial completion certificates dated
08/06/2015 and 30/06/2017 issued to the TDI by the competent authority be immediately withdrawn since TDI has miserably failed with terms and conditions mentioned in the Partial completion certificates appear to have been violated. It was also felt to urge the competent authority in GMADA not to issue further Partial completion certificate and final certificate till all terms and conditions by TDI are fulfilled.
Residents also observed that TDI is taking up construction of commercial pockets/ independents floors/ group housing societies by not taking separate partial completion certificates as required under the terms and conditions contained in already issued partial completion certificate by the competent authority.
