Puri RPF Rescued minor girl from Railway Station
Desk : On the night of 27.05.2021, while Officer’s & Staff ASI A.K.Jena & Subhdra Sahoo of RPF Post Puri were engaged for conducting drive against undesirable elements in Puri Railway Station area to prevent Criminal activities, noticed one minor girl aged about-15-16 Years was sitting in front of Railway reservation counter in alone & isolated state. On seeing her activities RPF Staff politely interrogated her in presence of ladies RPF Staff. During which she gave out her identity & it could be noticed that, she is from Cuttack Dist. under Baideswar Police Station.
On asking about her movement in Puri/Station area during lockdown period, she failed to gave any satisfactory reply & also denied to disclose any contact number of her family/friends. As initially her activities seemed contradictory, so further to verify her identity & also to transmit the information to her parents, RPF Officer made contact with the jurisdictional Police Station and it could be noticed that a Case vide No.144/2020,dated-26.12.2020, u/s-360 IPC has been registered at Baideswar Police Station on the basis of FIR given by her father. Subsequently concern Police Station also informed the matter to her parents and they requested to detain the rescued minor girl at RPF Post Puri till their reaching at Puri. As the rescued girl was minor, so after completion of preliminary enquiry, she produced before CWC through Child line with due intimation to concern Officials for further rehabilitation as per the procedure of law said Anil Kumar Singh, IIC, RPF .
On 28.05.2021 families members of the rescued minor girl attended Puri and taken her girl as per the procedure. After received of his minor girl family members & jurisdictional Police appreciated the outstanding work done by RPF team Puri.
