Desk : On 09.06.2021 at about-02.10 pm, while on duty deployed RPF Staff [A.P. Mishra] of Malatipatta Pur Railway Station was engaged for performing crime prevention & patrolling duty, noticed one male person aged about-20 Years was sitting in between UP line Railway track for committing suicide near Malatipatta Pur Railway Station yard. At that time, RPF Staff also noticed that, the line was clear for passing of train No.07479 [Tirupati-Puri] Express, so without wasting time, the above named RPF Staff attended the spot & forcefully removed him from the Railway track, as the concern person was too much agressive & anyhow he want to commit suicide without disclosing anything. Hence the on duty RPF Staff informed the matter to duty Officer [SI Mohan] to provide assistance to save his life.

On getting information SI Mohan, ASI B.K.Bal & other attended Malatipatta Pur Railway Station and after initial councelling brought him to RPF Post Puri. On arrival at RPF Post Puri ASI B.K.Bal interrogated him in friendly environment. During interrogation he gave out his name & address as Paresh Tarai, aged-20 Years, At-Sukdeipur, PS-Kuakhia, Dist-Jajpur.

Subsequently matter informed to the concern Police Station and also to his parents through available sources. On receipt of information his family members informed that his son went from home on the evening of 08.06.2021 at about-05.00 pm by motor cycle with due intimation that, he is going Kuakhia market, but he didn’t returned to home till late night, so they were searching him nearby areas & locality. They had also intimated to the same matter to Police Station.

Anil Kumar Singh, IIC Puri RPF said Family members of the concern person also requested with RPF ASI B.K.Bal to detained him at RPF Post Puri till their reaching at Puri. Finally family members & friends of the concern person attended RPF Post Puri and after completion of legal formalities the rescued person handed over to his family members with intimation to jurisdictional Police. Family members of the rescued person appreciated the outstanding work of RPF Staff of Puri to save life of his son.
